You probably won't hear many people saying this but I grew up in a house with a living room often filled with Zodiac signs. Yes, you guessed it. I had an usual upbringing. My parents had a craft business. They had their own shop for a time but mostly they maintained the same booth for years at our local Farmer's Market. The featured item? Zodiac signs of course! Individual zodiacs, a humongous all-inclusive Zodiac plaque, astrological positions and the Aztec calendar as well. Why not? My father would make these plaster casts from molds in his shop. Then after they were dried and trimmed, it would be left to my siblings, Mother and me to paint them. I must admit, I really got into the painting part. However, to this day, I believe all of our lungs have paid dearly for this activity. As a child though, you generally do what you are told, so paint we did. My mother's birthday is today--March 2nd.
